Zona Bell New was born December 17, 1923 and departed this life Friday, May 13, 2016 reaching the age of 92 years. She was the daughter of the late Joe & Cora Lee Bell.

She married Hobert New and to this union 5 children were born.

She is survived by:
2 sons…..Bobby & Tommy New, both of Monticello
2 daughters…..Stella Pogue of Monticello & Sharon Morrow (husband Manuel) of Eubank.
1 brother…..Floyd Bell (wife Betty) of Indiana
8 grandchildren…..Robert Wayne New (wife Patty), Billy New (wife Tishanna), Bradley New (wife Misty), Brandy Daniel (husband Chad), Calvin Wayne Burnett, Sandra Lynn Jones (husband Mark), Cameron Morrow, and Cody Morrow
8 great grandchildren…..Matthew New, Ashley New, Megan New, Bristol New, Seth Daniel, Allison Daniel, Abrielle Daniel, and Matthew Jones.
1 great grandchild…..Aubree New
Along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Joe & Cora Lee Bell, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Hobert New; 1 daughter, Gladys Parmley; 4 brothers, Clevie, Sherman, Ira, and George Bell; and 2 sisters, Lora Jones and Ora Edwards.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister , relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 15, 2016 after 5pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 1pm also in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
