Yvonne Owens was born June 17, 1935 in Knightstown, Indiana, and departed this life on June 7, 2024, in Monticello, Kentucky reaching the age of 88 years. She was the daughter of the late William and Susanne Maynard of New Castle, Indiana. Yvonne married Wilburn Owens on November 28, 1958, and they were married 54 years until Wilburn passed in September of 2014.

Yvonne is preceded in death by two brothers, Scottie and Pete, and five sisters, Ocie, Bernice, Bercie, Nila and Luzetta.

Yvonne is survived by one son, Thomas Bray (Karen) and one daughter, Patty Riley; her grandchildren, Ashley Riley, Jenny Maginel (Steven), Leslie Albright (Kristian), Connie Hannah (Levi), Paul Bray, Matthew Bray (Alexandra), Kaylie Bray, and several great grandchildren.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will all miss her terribly. Anyone who knew Yvonne loved her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 15, 2024, between 12 pm – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
