Wince Lamont Garth was born March 18, 1972, and departed this life Friday, May 1, 2026, reaching the age of 54 years. He was the son of the late Wince Wilkerson and Marjorie Garth.

He is survived by: his daughters, JaKaye Martin (Lonnie) and Olivia Garth (George Roland); and two sons, Isaiah Garth and LaDarius Garth; and grandchildren, Xavion Roland, Ledger Martin, and Layla Johnson. He is also survived by: two brothers LaJuan Wilkerson, and Adbul Wilkerson; and two sisters, Angie Ogle and Monica Ogle; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Wince Wilkerson and Marjorie Garth, he was preceded in death by: his wife Renee Garth, and brother Clarence Wilkerson.

He loved basketball whether cheering on UK or the Lakers, or playing pickup games at the park where his laughter and competitive spirit were just as memorable as his jump shot. Music was always a part of who he was; you could often hear his favorite songs playing long before you saw him, a reflection of the energy and joy he carried wherever he went. Lamont had a gift for making people laugh and a way of knowing just about everyone in town, turning strangers into friends with ease.

He had a deep love for animals and a generous heart, often bringing home ducks and rabbits around Easter just to see the smiles it created. He enjoyed swimming, helping others, and living life to the fullest. Always certified in CPR and first aid, Lamont was someone people could count on in times of need. His impact extended to the many young lives he touched while counseling at the Cumberland Adventure Program, where he offered guidance, encouragement, and genuine care. He also volunteered at K911-KY and was a member of Little Community Baptist Church.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 11, 2026, between 12:30 pm – 1 pm in the Elk Spring Cemetery Shelter. Graveside and interment services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 1 pm at the Elk Spring Cemetery.
