Willie "Bill" Pyles was born May 6th, 1923 in Wayne County, Kentucky and departed this life Monday, April 21st, 2003, reaching the age of 79 years. He was the son of Eugene Pyles and Tilda Stinson Pyles.

He was united in marriage to Nannie Hicks Pyles and to this union 14 children were born.

He is survived by his wife Nannie, five sons-Kenneth, Hershel, Clyde, Roger and Gary Pyles and eight daughters-Pearl Dishman, Dee Pyles, Jewell McGinnis, Judy Stinson, Ruby Rednour, Mary McGinnis, Brenda Stinson and Lisa McGinnis. He is survived by 36 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by one brother-Grady Pyles of Monticello, KY and four sisters-Antha Rains of North Carolina, Lillie Stinson of Monticello, KY, Mildred Evans and Hattie Hicks, both of Albany, KY, along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.


Visitation: The family will receive friends after 5 PM on Wednesday, April 23rd in the chapel of the funeral home.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Thursday, April 24th, 2003 at 2 PM in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Interment: Burial will be the Pyles Cemetery.
