William Tharp, II was born June 30, 1935 and departed this life Monday, May 26, 2008 reaching the age of 72 years. He was the son of the late William R. Tharp, I and Virginia Hutchison Tharp.

He is survived by: three children- Susan (Tony) Lococo of Louisville, KY, William Michael Tharp of Monticello, KY, and Carol (George) Coffey of Monticello, KY, one step-daughter- Linda (Mac) McManus of New Albany, KY, six grandchildren- Bobbie (Elgin), Yardley (Tim), Adrienne, Adam, Andrew, and Alizabeth, two great-grandchildren- Joe and Parker, his former wife- Ruth Tharp; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation: Wednesday, May 28th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Thursday, May 29th at 11 am
Interment: Mill Springs National Cemetery, Nancy, KY at 1:30 pm
