William Stinson was born March 26, 1930 and departed this life Wednesday, November 23, 2016 reaching the age of 86 years. He was the son of the late Thomas Abraham "Tom" and Lola Jane (Brown) Stinson.

He is survived by: his wife, Nellie Stinson; three sons, Sterlie Stinson, Wilburn Stinson, and Tim Stinson; six daughters, Alta Dishman, Antha Dishman, Gracie Davis, Adie Hicks, Wilma Rawlins, and Rebecca Greene; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: two brothers, Willard and Elam Stinson; and two sisters, Elvie Royston and Thelma Slavens; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Tom and Lola Stinson, he was preceded in death by: wives, Mattie Stinson and Bonnie Stinson; one son, Hershell Stinson; one daughter, Ather Stinson; two brothers, Wesley Stinson and Gleason Stinson; and two sisters, Rosie Franklin and Alvie Crabtree.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 27, 2016 after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Dishman Cemetery.
