William Ralph Denney was born March 12, 1929 and departed this life Sunday, January 16, 2011 reaching the age of 81. He was the son of the late Robert and Dora Denney.

He was united in marriage to his 1st wife, Ruby West and to this union 4 children were born.

He is survived by: his 2nd wife, Esther Denney; 3 sons, Jimmy (Charlotte) Denney of Lawrenceburg, KY, Sammy (Nancy) Denney and Larry (Karen) Denney both of Frankfort, KY; 1 daughter, Cathy (James) Buntain of Lawrenceburg, KY; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by: 1 brother, Arthie Denney of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Robert and Dora Denney, he was preceded in death by: his 1st wife, Ruby Denney; and 1 brother, Eulan Denney.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 10 am – 3 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 3 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. David Rayburn officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
