William Howard Perdew was born September 27, 1952 and departed this life Friday, November 19, 2021 reaching the age of 69 years. He was the son of the late Bro. Joe E. and Reta Waltine (Clark) Perdew of Alpha.

He is survived by: his wife of 46 years, Carol Perdew of Alpha; one daughter, Joanna (Jonathan) Gilligan of Alvaton; and one grandchild, Jon William Gilligan. He is also survived by his sisters, Sue (Dallas) James and Patricia (Bob) Endicott, twelve nieces and nephews, seventeen great nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Bro. Joe and Reta Waltine Perdew, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Jerry Perdew, one sister, Elaine Clark Perdew; and one nephew Dean James.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 between 5 pm – 8 pm and Wednesday, November 24, 2021 between 12 noon – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial for immediate family will follow.
