Obituary
William "Bill" Oatts was born March 30, 1943 and departed this life June 7, 2017 reaching the age of 74 years. He was the son of the late Shell and Gladys (Gossage) Oatts.
He married Janette Ramsey on June 22, 1963 and to this union one child was born.
He is survived by: his daughter, Lisa New (Kenny); two grandchildren, Adam New and Haley New; and one great grandchild, William Coffey. He is also survived by: two sisters, Bess Anderson (Bud) and Doris Cooper (Kenny); and special friend, Janice Hutchison; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Shell and Gladys Oatts, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Janette Oatts.
He was a life-long builder and driver of dirt track race cars.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 10, 2017 after 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
