William Howard Marcum was born October 8, 1927 and departed this life Monday, March 13, 2017 reaching the age of 89 years. He was the son of the late William Harrison and Mollie (Davis) Marcum.


He married Mary Marcum and to this union six children were born.


He is survived by: his wife, Mary Marcum; three sons, Jimmie (Vicky) Marcum, Thomas Marcum and David Marcum; three daughters, Sandra Dobbs, Debbie Marcum (Terry Corder), and Tiala Atkinson; one sister, Alice Crabtree; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.



In addition to his parents, William and Mollie, he was preceded in death by: four brothers, Frank Marcum, Gene Marcum, Isaac Marcum, and Joe Denzil Marcum; and four sisters, Marie Criswell, Ona Bell Crabtree, Evallee Crabtree, and Lela Kay Crabtree.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 17, 2017 after 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the New Sandusky Cemetery.
