William "Kelley" Jones, age 83 of Monticello, KY, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026, at his home.

He was born on November 9, 1942, in the Cooper Community of Monticello, the son of (the late) Harrison and Lizzie (Crabtree) Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jones; one son, William “David” Jones; two granddaughters, Brooke Kilgore (Calieb) and Victoria Ballentine; three great-grandchildren, Jace, Gaven, and Perna; one sister, Ruby Edwards; two brothers, Frank Jones and Claude Jones; and a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Omie Shearer, and four brothers, Kyle Jones, Paul Jones, Wilburn Jones, and Estil Jones, who died in infancy.

Kelley was an avid hunter, having attended many turkey shoots and bringing home a turkey after every competition.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, between 5 pm and 8 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
