William "Mack" Guffey was born February 7, 1936 and departed this life on Saturday, January 4, 2014 having reached the age of 77 years. He was the son of the late Lyndsey Ray "Champ" Guffey and Pearl (Rhodes) Guffey.

He was united in marriage to Mary Anna Mikel and to this union 5 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Anna Guffey, 3 sons, Dewayne Guffey, Roger Guffey, and Brandon Guffey (wife Jennifer) all of Monticello, KY; 2 daughters, Diane Weston (husband Bobby)of Monticello, KY, and Regina Davis of Indianapolis, IN; 1 brother, Kenney Guffey of Mitchell, IN; and 4 sisters, Nita Shelton of Texas, Ruth Acrey Humble of Monticello, KY, Wanda Lane of Bronston, IN, and Vivian Stonecipher of Monticello, KY. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Lyndsey Ray "Champ" and Pearl Guffey; and one brother, Wesley Guffey.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, relative, and friend that will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10am until 1pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will also be held on Tuesday at 1pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Ernest Mann and Bro. Paul Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Cabell Grove Cemetery.
