William D. "Bill" Crawford was born June 21, 1922 and departed this life Monday, October 11, 2010 reaching the age of 88. He was the son of the late John W. and Mary (Dugan) Crawford.

He was united in marriage to Theila Stephens and to this union 4 children were born.

He is survived by: Sharon Gregory, Donna Mancini, and Donita Hoskins; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: 1 sister, Rebecca Alexander; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, John and Mary Crawford, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Theila Crawford; 1 daughter, Mary Crawford; 2 brothers, John and Andrew Crawford; and 4 sisters, Dorothy Kline, Mary Walcott, Flora Barrier, and Blanche Poore.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 5 – 9 pm at the First Christian Church and again Friday from 7 – 10 am. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15, 2010 at 10 am at the First Christian Church with Bro. Tommy Chesney officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.

In connection to this announcement, the Monticello Machine Shop will be closed Friday, October 15th.
