Bro. William Corba "Corb" Hicks was born August 11, 1940, and departed this life Wednesday, September 3, 2025, reaching the age of 85 years. He was the son of Van and Myrtle (Hurt) Hicks, who preceded him in death.

On August 10, 1957, he married Pauline Dishman. To this union 4 children were born: William, Jr.  (Louise), Bobby Gene (Carol), Lisa Davis (Danny), and Linda Norris (Randy). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.   Also surviving are 2 sisters, Stella Mae Guffey and Mary Lou Adkins; and special friend, Emma Jean Leffew.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Pauline, 1 daughter, Lisa; and 1 grandchild, Nicholas Hicks.

At the age of 28 he began working for the Lord and enjoyed it until he was no longer able. That was his passion in life, and he enjoyed every minute.

He will be missed by his family and friends but is enjoying his reunion in Heaven.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 8, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Taylor's Grove Cemetery.
