William "Bill" Shelby Conn, Jr. was born February 8, 1935 and departed this life Sunday, December 29, 2013 reaching the age of 78. He was the son of the late William "Shelby" Conn, Sr. and Reba (Turner) Conn.

He was united in marriage to Janet Guffey and to this union three children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Janet Conn; one son, Richard Conn; one daughter, Debbie (Roy) Bryan; and 8 grandchildren, Daniel and Bryan Conn, Quinten, Zachary and Bianca Bryan, Sean Yarbough, Taylor Kincaid, Amber Kowalczyk. He is also survived by: one sister, Belle (Charlie) West; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Shelby and Reba Conn, he was preceded in death by: one daughter, Lisa Cheryl Kincaid; one brother, James Douglas Conn.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2014 after 5pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elk Spring Cemetery.

Full military honors will be performed by DAV Chapter 105.
