William Blevins was born November 6, 1932 and departed this life Monday, May 13, 2013 reaching the age of 80. He was the son of the late Will and Victoria (Miller) Blevins.

He was united in marriage to Marilyn Barnett and to this union 2 children were born.

He is survived by: his son, David Blevins; his daughter, Patricia Blevins; and 4 grandchildren, Nick Blevins, David Blevins, Vanessa Ramos, and Desiree Dositte; 11 grandchildren, Taylor, Jazzlyn, Gabe, Ellis, Tessa, Daniel, Kayla, Jessa, Timothy, Sierra, and Sophia; and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by: 1 brother, Coy Blevins; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Will and Victoria Blevins, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Marilyn Blevins; his granddaughter, Samantha Rigney; his sister, Bonnie Smith; and brothers, Howard, Walter, Gaines, Clint, Fount, Earl, and Allen Blevins.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 6 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 3 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Smith officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by DAV Chapter 105.
