William Ramsey “Bill” Allison, 73, of Stop, Kentucky, passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and service that will continue to live on in all who knew him.
Bill was born on May 26, 1952, to the late Thomas Allison and Lydia Ramsey Allison Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents. His mother helped shape the strong foundation of faith and character that defined his life.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 54 years, Camellia Allison. Their love story began when they were just 16 years old—a beautiful testament to lifelong devotion, partnership, and unwavering love. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and caring for others.
Bill was a loving father to his daughter, Cari Evans (Brad), and his son, William Ramsey “Billbert” Allison Jr. (Jennifer). His greatest joy came from his family, and he poured his heart into each of them.
He was a devoted grandfather to Haley Boyd (Garrett), Jessie Durham (Andrew), Hannah Evans, Matthew Evans (Kara), Zeb Allison (Tiffany), and Juliette Allison. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren—William Evans, Cooper Boyd, and Annie Boyd—who brought him immeasurable joy.
Also left to cherish his memory are his sister Carol Carpenter (Marc), brother Bob Allison (Cindy), many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bill loved his family deeply, and they were truly the center of his life in this world.
More importantly, his love for the Lord was his true cornerstone as he lived for the life that was to come. He faithfully served as an elder for many years and had a passion for sharing the gospel of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Bill preached at numerous congregations throughout the local area, always eager to encourage others and spread God’s word.
He had a genuine love for people and a heart for service. Bill never met a stranger—only friends he hadn’t yet made. His kindness, generosity, and sincere care for others left a lasting impact on countless lives. He lived life fully, with a joyful spirit and an infectious enthusiasm that uplifted everyone around him.
Though the hole left in our hearts is tremendous, we find comfort in knowing Bill is now at home with the Lord he loved so dearly. His faith, love, and legacy will continue to shine brightly through his family and all who were blessed to know him.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 16, 2026, between 4 pm and 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Stop Cemetery
Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
