William Andrew "Bill" Abbott, age 64, of the Stop community,passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at his home.

Survivors include a long-time companion- Clara Ryan; 1 son-Andy (Candace) Abbott; 1 step-son- Marty Hass; 2 daughters- Tracy (Thomas) Petty and Amanda (Bernardo) Munjuia; 1 step-daughter- Loren Ryan; 1 brother- Jeremy (Penny) Abbott; three sisters- Nancy (Jess)Garner, Connie(James) Denney, and Joanne(Van) Ramsey; 9 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents-Smiley Andrew and Irene Slagle Abbott; and 1 brother- Lee Abbott.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 5-8 PM in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 1 PM in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in Monticello. Burial will follow in the Cabell Grove Church Cemetery.
