Wilda Dennis, beloved mother of her seven children, and the daughter of Ruben and Frankie (Kidd) Foster, was born September 16, 1940 and departed this life Thursday, February 11, 2021 reaching the age of 80 years.

Wilda was united in marriage to General "Snooks" Dennis on December 28, 1956 and from this union 7 children were born. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Wilda is survived by: Children, Kathy Tucker and companion Lori Morehead, Alice (Alan) James, Mary (Carter) Gregory, Jackie Dennis and companion Connie, Bruce Dennis and special friend Karen, Jerry Dennis, and Judy Dennis, 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, General "Snooks" Dennis, her parents, Ruben and Frankie (Kidd) Foster, sister Serena Burris, brothers Matthew and Arvil Foster and one grandchild, Jamie Upchurch.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25, 2021 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. (Facebook Live Stream will begin at 12:45pm) Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
