Wilburn Ray Adams was born June 19, 1946 and departed this life Wednesday, December 12, 2012 reaching the age of 66. He was the son of Alpha and Lela Marie (Roberts) Adams.

He was united in marriage to Laura Darlene Hicks and to this union 2 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Darlene Adams; 1 son, Chris Adams; 1 daughter, Dawn Brown; 2 grandchildren; and 3 step grandchildren. He is also survived by: 2 brothers, Jim and Danny Adams; and 1 sister, Wanda Thompson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Alpha and Lela Adams, he was preceded in death by: 1 brother, Bobby Adams; and 2 sisters, Angie and Betty Adams.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 3 – 7 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 at 7 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Smedley and Bro. Larry Marcum officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
