Wendell Wright, age 74, of Monticello, husband of Noxie Wright, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Wayne County Hospital. He was the son of the Late Shirley Wright and the Late Nova Pennycuff Wright.

Family members include his wife of 32 years, Noxie, 1 son- Todd Wright of Albany, KY. 1 stepson-the Late Lonnie Pierce; 2 stepdaughters- Kathy York of Albany and Jacquita Frost of Monticello; 2 brothers- the Late Bill Wright and the Late Joe Frank Wright; and 1 sister- the Late Nina Mae Cooksey.

Other family include 1 grandchild- Brooke Wright; 5 step-grandchildren- Lance York, Lonnie York, Chelsea Allen, Whitney Frost; the Late Jonathan Frost; and 3 step-great-grandchildren.

He was the manager at Houchen's for 28 years and was a 15 year business owner.

He was a loving husband, father, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 11 AM until 2 PM in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will also be Tuesday at 2 PM in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in Monticello. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
