Obituary
Waylen Hicks was born August 9, 1932 and departed this life October 29, 2004 reaching the age of 72 years. He was the son of Marvin and Lora Hicks.
He was united in marriage to Vela Koger and to this union six children were born.
He is survived by his wife, Vela Koger of Georgetown, KY; two sons, Harold Hicks of Georgetown, KY and Ronnie Hicks of Cynthiana, KY; three daughters, Judy McDowell of Lawrenceburg, KY, Barbara Gardner of Lexington, KY and Anne Anness of Cynthiana, KY; three brothers, Joe "Donald", Riley, and Wilburn Hicks of Monticello, KY; two sisters, Betty Jean Bressler and Bonnie Taylor both of Monticello, KY; fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Lora Hicks; one child, Linda Hicks; two brothers, Norma and Elsie Dishman.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: Monday, November 1 after 5 PM
Funeral Service: Tuesday, November 2 at 1 PM
Interment: Gap Creek Cemetery
