With faith in our hearts and sadness in our souls, we announce the passing of Wallace Lee Bertram on October 26, 2026, at the age of 81.

Wallace lived a life guided by faith, love and compassion. He believed in the power of prayer, the importance of family, and the comfort that comes from trusting God’s plan.

Wallace shared his faith through everyday acts of kindness, a helping hand, an encouraging word, and a love that reached far beyond his own home. His unmistakable laugh and presence were a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Wallace was a lover of nature; he raised chickens and grew gardens. He was also a lover of fishing and caught several large ones that didn’t get away.

Wallace is survived by his wife, Phyllis Bertram; his daughter, Melissa Johnson and son-in-law, Tim Johnson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Bertram; father, Marshall Bertram; sister, Bonnie Piercy; brother-in-law, Jack Piercy; nephew, Jackie Piercy; sister, Sue Bertram; brother-in-law, Harold Piercy; and brothers, Bill Bertram and Warren Bertram.

Though we mourn the loss of Wallace, we find comfort in the promise of eternal life and the hope of a joyful reunion one day. We will carry his memory in our hearts until we meet again.

Well done, good and faithful servant. Matthew 25:21
