Virginia "Juanita" Vaughn was born January 22, 1946, and departed this life Monday, February 5, 2024, reaching the age of 78 years. She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Lona (Brumley) Sullivan.

Along with her husband, Lee Vaughn, she is survived by: two sons, Amos Laxton, Jr. and James Vaughn; one daughter, Joyce Smith (Mark); and one she raised as her own daughter, Jennifer Crabtree; three grandchildren, Corey Tyler Laxton (Nikki), Destiny Smith and Brooklyn Smith. She is also survived by: several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Louise Coffey and Imogene Smith; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: four brothers, Oliver, Jr., Harold Eugene, Richard, and David Allen Sullivan; and three sisters, Leila Hicks, Mary Ett Sullivan, and Linda Sullivan.

Juanita enjoyed fishing and gardening. She loved cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

She gave her life to the Lord many years ago. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 10, 2024, between 11 am - 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Smith officating. Burial will be in the Bud Gregory Cemetery.
