Virginia Parmley Burke was born November 1, 1944 and departed this life Friday, March 18, 2022 reaching the age of 77 years. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Ruby (Patrick) Parmley.

She married Donald Burke and to this union one son was born.

She is survived by: her husband, Donald Burke; one son, Lincoln Burke; and two grandchildren, Bradlee and Brook Burke. She is also survived by; one brother, Jessie Parmley; and two sisters, Shelia Stephenson and Wanda Burnett; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Harry and Ruby Parmley, she was preceded in death by: one brother, Bill Parmley; and one sister, Lanie Barnett.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 20, 2022 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
