Virgil Leroy Crabtree was born July 13, 1960 and departed this life Monday, March 07, 2011 reaching the age of 50. He was the son of the late James Virgil and Mary Jewell (Davis) Crabtree.

He was united in marriage to Martha Harmon and to this union 3 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Martha Crabtree of Monticello, KY; 1 son, Joseph "Shaun Leroy" Crabtree of Monticello, KY; 2 daughters, Jamie Lee Rayna (Eddie) Mobley of Monticello, KY and Mitsy Ann Marie (Randy) Russell; and 6 grandchildren, Emily, Shauna, and Amber Mobley and Jasmine, Dakota, and Sabrina Russell. He is also survived by: 2 brothers, John Criswell and Ronnie Joe Crabtree; and 5 sisters, Debbie Flynn, Ellen Dobbs, Sylvia Laws, Jewell Ann Blevins, and Nina Marie Crabtree; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 1 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Anson Perkins officiating. Burial will be in New Sandusky Cemetery.
