Virgie Davis was born April 28, 1937 to the late Ellis and Mae (Rednour) Hicks. She departed this life on Sunday, September, 20, 2015 having reached the age of 78 years.

She is survived by: 2 sons, Floyd and Lloyd Jones, 2 daughters, Jean Hicks and Judy Burton; 1 step son, Harold Davis; 3 step daughters, Ann Chriswell, Judy Stinson, and Janet Barnes; 6 grandchildren, Alisha Foster, Stephen Jones, Jordan Hicks, Ashley Parmley, J.D. Burton, and Daniel Burton; 14 step grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, Dylan Hicks, Allison Foster, Will Foster, and Mason Jones; 23 step great grandchildren. She is also survived by: 1 brother, Leland Hicks; and 1 sister, Janie Bowlin; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Ellis and Mae Hicks, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Emmett Jones and her 2nd husband, Bob Davis; and one step daughter, Carol Bell.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 after 5pm EST in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 11 am in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Stop Cemetery.
