Vickie Catron was born June 16, 1954, and departed this life Saturday, November 16, 2024, reaching the age of 70 years. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lorene (Sheppard) Smith.

She is survived by: four children, Lorene Hancock (Chad), Ricky Catron (Mindy), Tarina Whited (Kenny), and Angie Hale (Rick); five stepchildren, Jenni Dugan (Allen), Donald Catron (Kathy), Johnny Catron (Angie), Janie Catron, and Margaret Kennedy; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by:  one sister, Lynn Watkins (TC); and three brothers, Owen, David, and Eddie Smith; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Clarence and Lorene Smith, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Ray Dean Catron; and one sister, Netta.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 22, 2024, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Edwards Chapel Cemetery.
