Vernie Gregory was born September 6, 1938, and departed this life Saturday, February 5, 2022, reaching the age of 83 years. She was the daughter of the late Obie and Susie (Shelton) Daniels.

She is survived by: one son, David (Charlotte) Gregory; three daughters, Joyce (Stanley) Crabtree, Margaret Crabtree, and Glenna Cross; 9 grandchildren, Brandon Gregory, Megan Gunner, Angela Gonzales, Phillip Crabtree, Brittany Perez, Jason Daniels, Donna Langford, Steven Crabtree, and Stanley Crabtree; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourns her passing.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Troxell; and two brothers, Bob and Jessie Daniels; 1 grandson, Tony Gunner; and 2 sons-in-law, Nick Cross, and Wayne Crabtree.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Crabtree Cemetery.
