Verna Lee Vaughn was born November 27, 1935 and departed this life Monday, November 8, 2021 reaching the age of 85 years. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ettie (Shelton) Foster.

She married Edmond Vaughn and to this union ten children were born.

She is survived by: seven children, Louise Coffey, Billy Vaughn, Robert Lee Vaughn, Linda Bridgman, Roy Ed Vaughn, Brenda Vaughn, and Mary Sue Dishman;  12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by: two brothers, Charlie and Edison Foster; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Edmond Vaughn; three children, Janice Vaughn, Alice Vaughn, and Allen Vaughn; three brothers, Junior, Jimbo, and Lester Foster; and three sisters, Sarah King, Lexie Bell, and Hazel Sullivan.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 13, 2021 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Bud Gregory Cemetery.
