Veola Hazel Clark was born March 10, 1938 and departed this life Wednesday, November 05, 2014 reaching the age of 76 years. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Winfrey and Hazel (Baker) Bowlin.

She was united in marriage to the late Fred Clark on July 13, 1954 and to this union 13 children, 35 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren were born.

She is survived by: children, Tommy Clark (Laurie) of Hereford, AZ, Debra Darlene Gutierrez (Joe) of Lockhart, TX, Beckey Miller (Dennis) of Stanford, KY, Mary Jo Abbott of Montcello, KY, Freda Garner (Dewayne) of Monticello, KY, Sheila Kennedy (Bobby) of Monticello, KY, Tim Clark (Mary) of Menomie, WI, Mike Clark (Bonnie) of Belmont, ME, Jeffrey Clark (Tammy) of Monticello, KY, Joey Clark (Lauren) of Lexington, KY, Tracy Clark (Tiffani) of Mt. Vernon, IN, Trent Clark of Monticello, KY, and Vicki Askins (Bradley) of Monticello, KY; 33 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Thomas and Hazel Bowlin, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Fred Clark; brother, Mack Bowlin; sisters, Opal Vandiver and Vervin Anna Clark; two grandsons, Taylor Abbott and Lance Clark.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 8, 2014 after 5 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 2 pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Choate Cemetery.
