Obituary
Vena Peercy was born July 17, 1921 and departed this life Tuesday, February 05, 2008 reaching the age of 86 years. She was the daughter of the late James and Alice (Southwood) Burks.
She married Fred Peercy and to this union four children were born.
She is survived by: three sons- Tommie Peercy of Somerset, KY, David Peercy of Hazard, KY and Donnie Peercy of Springfield, TN, one daughter- Doris Bishop of Lebanon, OH, 6 grandchildren 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother- Jack Burks, two sisters- Veola Pennington and Mary Vivian Dodson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband- Fred Peercy, and several brothers and sisters.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation: Thursday, February 7th between 5 - 8
Funeral Service: Friday, February 8th at 11 am
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
