Vena Marie Davis was born July 13, 1930 and departed this life Thursday, October 29, 2009 reaching the age of 79 years. She was the daughter of the late Odie and Sally (Sumpter) Crabtree.

She is survived by: 1 son, Bob Davis; 1 daughter, Barbara Dobbs; 3 grandchildren, Anna Vaughn, Gary Dobbs, and Angela Hardesty; and 3 great grandchildren, Emily Vaughn, Cody and Kaylee Hardesty. She is also survived by: 3 brothers, Ralph, Lyle, and Ronnie Crabtree, and 4 sisters, Joyce Ramsey Hicks, Melvina Middleton, Edwina Curtis, and Betty Sue Terry; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Odie and Sally (Sumpter) Crabtree, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Kay Davis; 2 brothers, James Edwin and Randall Crabtree; and 2 sisters, Ina Jean Kidd and Juanita Anderson.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: Sunday, November 1st between 5 - 7 and Monday, November 2nd between 12 - 1
Funeral Service: Monday, November 2nd at 1 pm
Interment: Parmley's Grove Cemetery
