Obituary
Vema Rigney Western was born March 24th, 1926 in Wayne County, Kentucky and departed this life Friday, January 31st, 2003, reaching the age of 76 years. She was the daughter of Conn Rigney and Dora Sexton Rigney.
She is survived by four children-Larry K. Mikel of Spiceland, IN, Linda Baker of Indiana, Diana Asberry of Indiana and Phyllis Western Hunt of Cave City, KY. She is survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by one brother-Lester Rigney of Marion, IN and two sisters-Neva Curtis of Owensboro, KY and Mildred Francis of Monticello, KY to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arville Western and one sister Grace Dobbs.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, relative and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Monday, February 3rd, 2003 in the chapel.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 4th at 3 PM in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Interment: Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery.
