Velma Ernestine "Ernie" Baker was born December 11, 1955, and departed this life Sunday, January 26, 2025, reaching the age of 69 years. She was the daughter of the late Cecil Quince and Stella (Dishman) Baker.

She is survived by: her son, Michael Anderson (Megan); four grandchildren, Madison McCoy, Gavin McCoy, Timothy Anderson, and Braxton Anderson; and one great grandchild, Raelyn Rector. She is also survived by:  two sisters, Vela Stinson and Elizabeth Ramirez; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to his parents, Cecil and Stella Baker, she was preceded in death by: one brother, Charlie Baker; and one sister, Norma Jean Fulton.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 30, 2025, between 12:30 pm – 1 pm at Cherry Grove Cemetery with Graveside and Interment service at 1 pm.
