Troy Logan Carrender was born December 17, 1963 and departed this life Wednesday, April 20, 2016 reaching the age of 52 years. He was the son of Judith Leigh (Ott) and the late Donald Logan "Duke" Carrender.

He is survived by: his wife, Sandy (Sweet) Carrender; one daughter, Kristin Upchurch; one son, Logan Carrender; one grandchild Jazlyn Grace Upchurch, and another on the way. He is also survived by: his mother, Judith Carrender; one sister, Debra (Bob) Bristow; and one brother, Michael Carrender; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his father, Duke Carrender, he was preceded in death by: one brother, Donald Scott Carrender.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 22, 2016 after 9:30 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 22, 2016 at 3 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
