Travis Kyle Roberts, age 19 departed this life on February 3, 2011. Travis was the only child of Anthony Roberts and Susan Upchurch. He was born on May 31, 1991 at Marine Corp Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina. He was a 2009 graduate of Monticello High School.

He is survived by his parents, Anthony Roberts (Lisa-stepmother) and Susan Upchurch (Rusty–stepfather); his 9 month old daughter, Josyln Alexis MaShae Roberts. Travis was also excited about the forthcoming birth of his second child with fiancée, Sarah Wilson. Travis was also survived by his paternal grandfather, Leonard Roberts; maternal grandfather, Huey Alley; as well as several step siblings: Chasney Shelton, Dustin Upchurch, Brooklyn Upchurch, Tyler Stokes, and Susan Stokes. He is further survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 2 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. John Piercy and Bro. Paul Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
