Obituary
THELMA B. POORE was born September 5, 1936 and departed this life July 25, 2006 reaching the age of 69 years. She was the daughter of William Hollars and Rachel Brown Hollars.
She was united in marriage to Howard Poore and to this union four children were born.
She is survived by two sons, William "Bubby" and Eddie Poore of Monticello, KY; two daughters, Irene Dishman and Martha Chaplin of Monticello, KY; one brother, Lawrence Hollars of Clofax, IN; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing..
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rachel Hollars; her husband, Howard Poore; one grandson, Justin Poore; seven brothers, Cecil, Glen, Robert, and Clarence Hollars, Olma and Marvin Brown, and Powers McGuire; and three sisters, Martha Jones, Thena Ferrell, and Eller Price.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation: Friday, July 28th after 11 am at her home in Mill Springs
Funeral Service: Saturday, July 29th at 1 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church
Interment: Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery
