Thelma J. Lovell was born October 22, 1934, and departed this life Friday, April 15, 2022, reaching the age of 87 years. She was the daughter of the late Calvin and Daisy (Melton) Hall.

She is survived by 1 son, Warren Lovell of Tompkinsville; 3 daughters, Marilyn Lovell of Bronston, Wanda Fairchild and Linda Stigall of Monticello; 1 brother, Danny Bates; 2 sisters, Mary Upchurch and Edith Wesley; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lovell; 6 brothers, Tommy, Bobby, Bill, Charles, James and Sammy Bates; and 3 sisters, Josephine Kellogg, Shirley Stomps and Nancy Bates.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
