Thelma Jean Jackson was born March 3, 1939, and departed this life Wednesday, June 7, 2023, reaching the age of 84 years. She was the daughter of the late James Henderson "Jim" and Rosa Mae (Decker) Humble.

She is survived by: two sons, Tony Humble and Garvin Parmley; one daughter: Angila Parmley; four grandchildren: Sarah Humble, Maggie Humble, Heather Quillen and Joshua Parmley; and six great grandchildren: Alec Quillen, Aubrey Quillen, Evelyn Parmley, Harper Parmley, Ignatius "Iggy" Humble and Augustus "Gus" Humble.

She is also survived by: one brother, Jimmy Ray Humble; and one sister, Helen Marie Sidwell; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Quinton Jackson;  her siblings: Zelmer Humble, Carl Humble, Kenneth Humble, William Haskel Humble, Cecil Washington Humble, Ida Mildred Humble Bell, Linda Joyce Humble Davis, and Charles Clifford Humble.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 12, 2023, between 12 pm – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, June 12, 2023, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parnell Methodist Church Cemetery.
