Terry Mitchell Pettry was born October 31, 1957, and departed this life Friday, September 18, 2026, reaching the age of 68 years. He was the son of Louise (Darlington) Pettry and the late John Pettry.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by: his wife, Bonnie (Haught), Buchman; children, Thomas Pettry, George Pettry, Maureen Centa, and Stephanie Spencer; stepchildren, Daniel Buchman, Michelle Sargent (Jeremy), and Thea Hawkins; grandchildren, Nicholas Spencer and Elizabeth Spencer. He is also survived by his siblings, Timothy Pettry (Lisa) and Kimberly Dubs (Randy); along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

Terry was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of the local DAV Chapter 105, serving as Sargent at Arms and an Honor Guard Member.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 26, 2026, between 3 pm – 4 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 4 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Military honors will be provided by our local DAV Chapter 105.

A Memorial Service will be held at Polaris Christian Church in Brunswick, OH, date and time will be announced later.  Burial will be at Western Reserve in Ritman, OH.
