Obituary
Stanley Richardson was born January 2, 1925 and departed this life Sunday, August 12, 2012 reaching the age of 87. He was the son of the late Ervin and Creta (Dodson) Richardson.
He was united in marriage to Lorene Stringer and to this union 1 child was born.
He is survived by: his wife, Lorene Richardson of Monticello, KY; 1 son, Galen Richardson of Monticello, KY; and 2 grandchildren, Kaidy and MacKenzie Richardson. He is also survived by: 3 brothers, Virgil, Lonnie and Reed Richardson; 4 sisters, Ina Frost, Emily Southwood, Esteleen Cooper, and Barbara Bridgeman; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Ervin and Creta Richardson, he was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Romer and Roland Richardson; and 2 sisters, Lucille White and June Barton.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 10 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Curtis Burnette and Bro. Harold Smith officiating. Burial will be in Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by DAV Chapter 105.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:
