Stanley "Kay" Dishman was born February 21, 1951, and departed this life Sunday, February 12, 2023, reaching the age of 71 years. He was the son of the late Elvis Dishman and Nellie Lee (Buck) Edwards.

On March 24, 1973, he was united in marriage to Flonnie Bell.

He is survived by: his wife, Flonnie Dishman; one son, Michael Dishman (Kathy Dishman); two daughters, Tristin Dishman (Cory Acrey) and Tyann Dobbs (Brandon Dobbs); and one granddaughter, Laci Patton. He is also survived by:  two brothers, Bobby Joe Edwards and Jimmy Edwards; special brother & sister-in-law, Lloyd and Lisa Jones; and special niece, Glenette Hurd; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Linda Hancock, Bonnie Ruth Hancock, and Jay Dishman.

He was a skilled carpenter who took pride in his work. He enjoyed being able to hunt, especially deer hunting.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Stop Cemetery.
