Obituary
STANLEY BURGESS was born January 16, 1919 and departed this life May 1, 2006 reaching the age of 87 years. He was the son of the late Willy Burgess and Myrtie Hucaby Burgess.
He was united in marriage to Allene Worsham and to this union five children were born.
He is survived by his wife, Allene Burgess of Monticello, KY; one son, Bruce Burgess of Nashville, TN; four daughters, Carol Gossage of Monticello, KY, Patricia Brockman of Miamisburg, June Weaver of Frazier, KY, and Naomi Sue Collins of Winchester, KY; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
He is also survived by two brothers, Haywood Burgess of Lake Placid, FL and Ralph Burgess of Russell Springs, KY; four sisters, Betty Hill of Somerset, KY, Edna Whaley of Mason, OH, Joyce Chitwood of Florence, KY, and Ruth Konen of Florence, KY; along with a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willy and Myrtie Burgess.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: Tuesday, May 3rd after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 4th at 1 pm
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
