Obituary
Shirley Shepherd, age 78, widow of Robert "Shep" Shepherd, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Hospice Care Plus Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY.
She is survived by: 1 daughter, Teresa Owens; 1 brother, Paul Garner; 2 sisters, Mary Weston and Nida Worley; as well as a host of family and friends that mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Robert "Shep" Shepherd; parents, Elisha & Ima Garner;and 3 brothers, Pascal, Bill, and Harold Garner.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 26th, 2014 from 5 until 9 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 27th, 2014 at 10 am in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Wayne County Hospital.
The Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home of Monticello in charge of arrangements.
