Shirley Sears was born December 25, 1935 and departed this life Thursday, September 27, 2018 reaching the age of 82 years. She was the daughter of the late Marvin and Opal (Roberts) Jones.

She is survived by: one son, Lester Boggs; one daughter, Patricia "Patty" Schmitt; two sisters, Anna Jones and Roseena Waters; four grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Marvin and Opal Jones, she was preceded in death by:  her husband, Milton Sears; four brothers, Gene, Brad, Howard, and Harold Jones; and two sisters, Joccie Burchett and Glenna Hendricks.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 29, 2018 between 11:30 am – 12:30 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 12:30 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Coffey Cemetery.
