Shirley Ruth Floyd was born February 10, 1944 and departed this life Saturday, March 18, 2017 reaching the age of 73 years. She was the daughter of the late William "Bill" and Emma Lee (Smith) Miller.

She is survived by: one son, Louis Anthony Stinnett; two daughters, Melissa Jean Shearer and Marcie Jane Hasty: 10, grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by: one brother, Kenneth Miller; two sisters, Ina Rose Locker and and Georgia Colon; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Bill and Emma Miller; she was preceded in death by: one son, Jay Hasty; one sister, Anna Mae Maston; two brothers, Ethard William Miller and Luther Miller.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 after 5 pm and Thursday, March 23rd from 10 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Roger's Grove Cemetery.
