Shirley "Annabelle" Dobbs was born June 4, 1943, and departed this life Friday, January 5, 2024, reaching the age of 80 years. She was the daughter of the late Shade and Sara (Crabtree) Sexton.

She married Joe Louis Dobbs and to this union four children were born.

She is survived by: one son, Gordon Lewis Dobbs; one daughter, Lisa Jane Harmon (companion, Tony Dishman); three grandchildren, Joshua David Harmon, Miranda Nicole Dougoud (Jackson), and Gracie Danielle Jarvis. She was also survived by:  one sister, Lena Faye Sexton; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Joe Louis Dobbs; two children, Larry Joe Dobbs and Theresa Ann Dobbs; two brothers, Charles Ray Sexton and James Estill "Jug" Sexton; and one sister, Edna Mae Hughes.

Annabelle was a member of First Church of God. She enjoyed yard sales, reading, and flowers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 8, 2024, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
