IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sherry Jean
Brumley
August 10, 1962 – September 17, 2021
Sherry Jean Brumley, loving Mother and Mawmaw, passed to her heavenly home on September 17, 2021 reaching the age of 59.
Sherry was born on August 10, 1962 and raised in the Bugwood community of Wayne County. She held many different occupations over the years, most recently as a caregiver for the elderly but longed for the day she could become a full-time grandma.
She was known by many for her tough love and standing firm for what she believed in. When she wasn't drinking coffee at the Huddle House, she was taking care of her beloved dog Sweet Pea. She let it be known that she loved to live life to the fullest and wasn't scared to meet her sweet Jesus.
Sherry leaves behind her son, Roger (Tara) Brumley and two granddaughters, Aubree and Audrey who she adored. Her brother, Billy Brumley, sisters, Brenda (James) Young, Helen (William) Hale, and Mary Hill. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, April Jasper, Angela Loudermilk, Anthony, Jessica, Miranda, Amanda Brumley, James Ray Young and Timothy Hale.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Maude Poore and William Luther Brumley. And her brother, Roy Dale.
Left to mourn her passing is also a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 24, 2021 between 1 pm – 2 pm at the family cabin in Bugwood with funeral service at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Bugwood Cemetery.
Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
