Sherman Allen Coffey was born April 24, 1979, and departed this life Wednesday, October 16, 2024, reaching the age of 45 years. He was the son of Mack and Diana (Slagle) Coffey.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by: one brother, Tyler Coffey; one sister, Melissa Dobbs (Jonathan); five nephews and nieces, Trista Gregory (Allen Dobbs), Madison Gregory, Austin Gregory, Paisley Coffey, and Cambree Coffey; and two great nephews, Kayden and Kyler Dobbs; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

Sherman was an employee of Walmart for around 23 years. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 21, 2024, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
